At Akçansa, we believe that creating a healthy corporate culture is essential to ensuring that inclusiveness and diversity are integrated into the talent experience, allowing employees to perform at their best. With this understanding, we always look at all our works under our roof from the perspective of diversity. We believe that the originality brought by each difference provides the greatest richness; we know that to benefit from this richness, we must provide equal opportunities by moving away from all stereotypes.

You Work

Akçansa voluntarily participates in local and global initiatives to empower women in business life and eliminate gender-based discrimination in all business processes. Our company’s journey, which started with the Equality at Work Declaration in 2013, continued with the Women’s Empowerment Principles, of which it became a signatory in 2014. Similarly, Akçansa continued many local initiatives, such as the Ladik Glass Workshop, which we implemented with the ‘Business Against Domestic Violence’ project, and the Gender Equality Workshops to help Ladik housewives learn a profession. In 2019, we became the first company in Sabancı Group to publish a Gender Equality Policy.

Our company, which was one of the 20 companies that participated in the Domestic Violence Survey in 2014, which represents the start of the BADV (Business Against Domestic Violence) Project, has been organizing Gender Equality workshops in Istanbul, Çanakkale and Samsun since 2018 with the participation of field and office employees. In 2021, Akçansa joined the UN Global Compact’s Target Gender Equality program, which was launched in 44 countries to increase the representation and leadership of women in the business world, and is working to increase the number of women in senior management.
