Akçansa commenced its activities as a result of Akçimento and Çanakkale Çimento merging in 1996. In addition to being a joint venture of Sabancı Holding and Heidelberg Materials, our company moves confidently into the future with its public shareholding structure. Meeting 7% of Türkiye’s cement demand and 11% of Türkiye’s total cement and clinker exports, Akçansa continues to produce exemplary products that meet world quality standards, with a responsible production approach, an environmentally friendly identity awarded by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry, as well as a superior service approach, and high-tech facilities.
Our company operates in the Marmara, Aegean, and Black Sea regions with the aim of creating value for our country and society. While Akçansa produces cement and clinker at its three integrated cement plants in Istanbul Büyükçekmece, Çanakkale, and Samsun-Ladik, it maintains its quality and rapid port activities offering solutions through Çanakkale and Istanbul-Ambarlı ports. In addition to its port operations, Akçansa has four cement terminals in İzmir-Aliağa, Ambarlı, Yalova and Yalova-Yarımca.
Following the merger with Betonsa in 1998, our company carries out ready-mixed concrete production services in 25 facilities under the Betonsa brand. As a result of the merger with Agregasa in 2002, our company continues its aggregate production activities under the Agregasa brand in its facilities located in Tekirdağ (Saray) and Bursa.
Akçansa carries out production activities at all of its plants in accordance with the ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, the BS EN ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System, the ISO 50001 Energy Management System, and the BS EN ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
