Akçansa reinforces its responsible approach to climate goals through its Sustainable Product Initiative. As part of this initiative, the Duocem product family, launched under the ‘Green For Cement’ umbrella, features up to 25% mineral additives in its composition, resulting in a carbon footprint up to 15% lower than Portland cement. With this eco-friendly composition that supports greenhouse gas reduction and enhances its construction-friendly qualities, Duocem stands out in the industry.

Akçansa’s Sustainable Product Initiative, which focuses on developing low-clinker and low-carbon products using alternative raw materials, supports a more sustainable future without compromising the key performance parameters of production and quality.

As part of this initiative, Duocem, a next-generation cement product, offers a high degree of fineness, improved workability, and excellent consistency retention. It also matches the strength and durability of Portland cement (CEM I 42.5 R) while contributing to sustainability with low hydration heat.

Within this product family, Duocem Pro, known for its high performance, and Duocem Eco, recognized for its outstanding environmental performance, have attracted significant attention in the industry. In 2023, these products accounted for 20% of total sales.
