Psychological and social educational support for 1000 children in the earthquake zone with the My Neighbourhood Project
Akçansa supports children in Kahramanmaraş, which was affected by the earthquake disaster, with the ‘My Neighbourhood’ project launched in April.
The ‘My Neighbourhood’ project, which was initiated within the scope of the Sabancı Republican Mobilisation to build a hopeful future for children affected by the earthquake, continues in cooperation with TOÇEV (Tüvana Foundation for the Education of Children Willing to Read).
The project, in which trainings are currently continuing intensively, aims to support the education and development of children in all provinces affected by the earthquake.
In addition to the psychological and social trainings provided by specialised psychologists to 1000 children between the ages of 5-18, special activities were also carried out to support their mental and physical development.
Akçansa, which initiated its activities within the scope of Sabancı Republic Mobilisation, Türkiye’s most widely participated social responsibility movement, stands by the children affected by the earthquake with the My Neighbourhood Mobile Education Truck.
In addition to the psychological and social training provided by TOÇEV’s specialised psychologists to 1000 children aged 5-18 in April, special activities to support the mental and physical development of children were implemented and their questions were answered.
In addition to the pre-school, school period and high school psychoeducation content, the trainings, which included educational and developmental activities such as storytelling, nature pedagogy and body percussion, were welcomed with great interest by the children.
Educational psychologists worked with primary, secondary and high school children in groups of 12. The project aims to reach children in the provinces affected by the earthquake and support their education.

Together with our psychologists and field experts, we carry out mood state, psycho-social support workshops with pre-school, school and adolescent children. We draw attention to the importance of supporting the education and development of children through our work.
