We Will Continue Producing for a Sustainable Future”

Akçansa CEO Vecih Yılmaz stated: “With our strong operational activities, we continued to create value for the future of our country during the first half of 2024. Our total cement and derivatives sales volume increased by 6% compared to the same period last year. Unlike the first quarter of 2024, market dynamics, favorable trends in total sales volume, and stable energy prices also positively impacted our financial results. In the first half of 2024, our net sales amounted to 9.4 billion TL, and our EBITDA totaled 1.5 billion TL.”

Yılmaz emphasized that Akçansa continues to operate with the vision of becoming Türkiye’s leading sustainable building materials company regarding stakeholder value, adding:

“We strive to contribute to human and societal life across a wide spectrum. We are proud to have secured 84th place in the Istanbul Chamber of Industry’s (ISO) 2023 list of Türkiye’s 500 Largest Industrial Enterprises, placing us among the country’s top 100 manufacturing companies. Additionally, our Bursa Aggregates Facility became the first and only facility in Türkiye’s aggregates sector to receive the Platinum-level Responsible Sourcing Certification from the Concrete Sustainability Council (CSC). As of June, our Samsun Ladik Plant achieved a major milestone, completing five years without a lost-time incident. We will continue to produce for the sustainable future of our country.”
