Applications for the second term of the GençİZ new generation long-term internship programme, which was launched by Akçansa in November 2022 and received more than 7 thousand applications, have started.  

The programme, which supports female students to gain experience in the sector, helps young people to realise their dreams and goals and to get to know different areas in business life closely.

Students who will start their internship within the scope of GençİZ will also have the opportunity to prepare for the company’s young talent recruitment programme. The deadline for GençİZ is 9 July.

Applications for the second term of GençİZ, the new generation long-term internship programme developed by Akçansa, a joint venture of Sabancı Holding and Heidelberg Materials, for female students with the vision of “Future of Work” and offering a real work and development experience from the first day, have started.

Within the scope of the programme, third- and fourth-year undergraduate students and young talents continuing their education in master’s programmes can apply.

In the programme, which received over 7 thousand applications in its first year, 26 female students had the opportunity to prepare for the future with technical and personal development trainings and to get to know various business lines closely during the 8-month internship period. The students also developed projects under the titles of ‘Innovation in Cement and Concrete’, ‘Carbon Capture and Utilisation Technologies’, ‘Data Science and Digital Twins for the Cement Industry’ and ‘Sustainability in Cement and Concrete’ in line with the strategic goals of the company in order to develop their cross-competencies.

Young people who will join Akçansa in the second term of the programme will also have the opportunity to prepare for the company’s ‘Let’s Shape the Future Together’ young talent recruitment programme.
