Akçansa Büyükçekmece Factory Renews ‘Responsible Use of Resources Certification’ at Gold Level

Akçansa Büyükçekmece Factory successfully completed the independent audit conducted by the Turkish Ready Mixed Concrete Association Quality Assurance System (KGS) and renewed its Responsible Use of Resources Certification at the gold level, awarded by the Concrete Sustainability Council (CSC), increasing its score to 92.2.

In this way, Akçansa achieved an important success in its industry by earning the second-highest score with its Büyükçekmece factory, following its Çanakkale factory, which holds the highest score in Turkey with the Responsible Use of Resources Certification.

Akçansa continues its activities aimed at the efficient use of resources and is being recognized for its sustainability-focused efforts. While renewing its certification at the gold level, Akçansa Büyükçekmece Factory raised its score to 92.2.

With the highest score in the industry, Akçansa, together with its Çanakkale Factory, holds the top score in the Responsible Use of Resources Certification, and with the score achieved by its Büyükçekmece Factory, it has reached the second-highest score in Turkey, marking a significant accomplishment.

Akçansa General Manager Vecih Yılmaz, stating that they continue their operations with the principle of ‘Responsible work for the future’ in all the regions they operate, expressed happiness about the recognition of their efforts. Yılmaz continued: “We are pleased to have increased our score compared to the previous certification period and renewed it at the gold level. With both our Çanakkale and Büyükçekmece factories, we are among the top two in our industry in terms of this valuable certification. We will continue our activities with the understanding of responsible resource use and efficiency at all our locations. Our contributions to a more sustainable future will continue through our voluntary participation in international sustainability rating processes.”
