Ülgen Eryürek Aslan

Vice GM – Human Resources and Corporate Communication

Ülgen Eryürek Aslan, graduated from Boğaziçi University, Department of Economics in 1998. She started her career as MT at Bayındır Holding Finance Group Presidency, and later worked as Budget Planning Supervisor at HEAŞ. She joined Akçansa as Financial Reporting and Analysis Specialist in February 2004 after completing her Finance and Accounting master’s degree at Marmara University, Faculty of Business Administration in 2004. Since 2004, she has worked at Akçansa respectively as Financial Planning and Analysis Manager, Financial Planning Analysis, Reporting and Investor Relations Manager, Strategy and Business Development Manager, Cement and Ready-Mixed Concrete Sales Planning and Marketing Group Manager. She has been working as Strategy and Corporate Performance Group Manager since February 1, 2023. As of December 15, 2023, she has occupied the position of Human Resources Vice General Manager.

Ömer Sinan Genç

Vice GM – Operations

Ömer Sinan Genç graduated from Ege University, department of Chemical Engineering. He completed his master’s degree in chemical engineering at Izmir Institute of Technology. He has been working for Akçansa as Production Engineer – Ladik Plant, Clinker Supervisor – Büyükçekmece Plant, Production Manager – Büyükçekmece Plant, Plant Manager – Ladik and Plant Manager – Çanakkale since 2007. As of 1 January 2024, he has occupied the position of Vice General Manager – Operations.

Thomas Gerstenhauer

Vice GM – Finance

Thomas Gerstenhauer graduated from International Partnership of Business Schools (Reutlingen/London) with a degree in European Business Administration and completed his Executive MBA at Friedrich Schiller University, Jena. He started his professional career at Schroder Salomon Smith Barney in 1998 in London, including assignments in Melbourne and New York. From September 2003 to 2007, he worked for HSH Nordbank as Deputy Head of Leveraged Finance. Thomas joined Sal. Oppenheim Jr. & Cie. KgaA as Senior Vice President – Investment Banking in November 2007. From April 2011 to September 2014, Thomas did run his own Corporate Finance advisory business, where he amongst others acted as part of the Board of Creditors for IVG Immobilien AG. Since he joined Heidelberg Materials in September 2014, he acted as CFO of Mibau Stema Group & Finance Manager – Aggregates Northern Europe and from 2020 onwards as CFO and Deputy CEO of Mibau Stema Group. As of 1 November 2024, he has occupied the position of Vice General Manager – Finance.

İlker Koç

Vice GM – Ready Mixed Concrete, Aggregate Sales and Marketing

İlker Koç received his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Middle East Technical University and his master’s degree in Business Administration (Executive MBA) from Sabancı University. He started his career as a Field Engineer at Rizzani de Eccher in 1994 and then worked as a Site Superintendent at Astaldi and Sinta between 1995 and 1998. He joined Akçansa in September 1998 as a Marketing Planning and Sales Specialist. Between 2008 and 2012, he worked as a Senior Engineer at HeidelbergCement Technology Centre in Germany. He continued his career at Akçansa as a Quality and R&D Manager, Marketing and Special Products Manager, and Technical Sales Support and Special Products Manager. Between December 2020 and November 2021, he held the position of Company Manager at Karçimsa. As of 1 December 2021, he has occupied the position of ‘Assistant General Manager – Ready Mixed Concrete, Aggregate Sales and Marketing.’

Sinan İnaç

Vice GM – Procurement, Logistics and International Trade

Sinan İnaç graduated from Dokuz Eylül University, Department of Business Administration (English) in 1999. He started his professional career at Çimentaş in 2003. He worked as a Budget and Cost Control Specialist between 2003 and 2007, as Planning, Budget, and Control Chief between 2007 and 2011, Planning, Budget, and Control Manager between 2011 and 2015, Strategy and Marketing Manager (Cement and Ready-Mixed Concrete) between 2015 and 2017, Planning, Budget and Control Eastern Mediterranean Regional Leader between 2017 and 2019, and finally Planning, Budget and Control Director. Since 2019, he has worked as Strategy and Business Development Manager and Strategy and Business Development Group Manager at Akçansa, respectively. As of 1 December 2021, he has occupied the position of ‘Assistant General Manager – Procurement and Logistics.’

Akın Hasbay

Cement Sales and Marketing Director

Akın Hasbay; graduated from Dokuz Eylül University, Department of Civil Engineering in 1999. He worked at Ülker Building as Civil Engineer in between 2000 – 2003 he worked as Civil Engineer at Ülker Building, in between 2003-2017 at Akçansa respectively as Customer Representative – İzmir, RMC Sales & Marketing Specialist – İzmir, Cement Sales Planning Specialist – İstanbul, Sales Supervisor – North Region, Cement Marketing Responsible, RMC Regional Manager – East Marmara and Cement Sales Regional Manager – East Marmara, in between 2017 – 2019 as Denizli Cement Sales Director at Oyak Cement and has been working at Akçansa since 2019 respectively as RMC Regional Manager – North and East Marmara and Cement Sales Group Manager. As of 26 June 2024, he has occupied the position of Cement Sales and Marketing Director.
