Karçimsa organizes Concrete Symposium in Karabük

Great investment to ready-mixed concrete from Karçimsa

Operating under partnership of leader Turkish cement and concrete producer Akçansa and locomotive company of iron-steel industry Kardemir, Karçimsa started ready-mixed concrete production. The facility was established in Karabük.

A Concrete Symposium will be held on Wednesday, December 16th in Karabük University in order to exchange detailed information on ready-mixed concrete industry within the context of opening activities with the participation of Karçimsa Chairman of the Board Hakan Gürdal and ITU Construction Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ali Taşdemir.

In Turkey, which is located on seismic belts and where structuring is intense, while with the positive effect of earthquake regulation that entered into effect after 1999 Marmara Earthquake, ready-mixed concrete consumption increases everyday, Karçimsa Ready-mixed Concrete Facilities established to supply this demand was engaged within this month.

Located on a 694 m2 area within the Karçimsa factory field, the facilities were engaged with 2 pumps and 6 mixers with a capacity of 130m3/h.

Karçimsa Chairman of the Board Hakan Gürdal, said these on the new facilities: “Since our country is located on a seismic belt, concretes produced in high durability classes and that are in accordance with quality standards must be used in constructions. We establish a ready-mixed concrete central in Karabük for these reasons and want to emphasize on the importance of ready-mixed concrete with the seminar we have organized. We aim to accelerate the industry and act as a leader as in all subjects with our investment.”
Before the opening of the ready-mixed concrete central established with the integrated service approach of Karçimsa, only cement producer of Karabük, a ‘Concrete Symposium’ is organized in order to exchange detailed information on ready-mixed concrete industry. In the seminar that will be held with the participation of Karçimsa Chairman of the Board Hakan Gürdal and İTÜ Construction Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ali Taşdemir, “Concrete Production, Durability and Resistance”, “Features, Service Lifetime, Design of Concrete According to Durability in Fresh Concrete”, “Special Ready-mixed Concrete Products”, “Cement Production and Standards” titles will be discussed.
Seminar will be held in Karabük University Prof. Dr. Bektaş Açıkgöz Conference Hall between 15.30–18.30.
