Akçansa has achieved significant recognition by receiving a total of four awards from two prestigious platforms for its efforts in sustainability and social responsibility.

The company was awarded first place in the Social Responsibility category at the 30th Golden Plumb International Building Catalog Awards for its STEM Workshop project, implemented in collaboration with Bricks4Kidz® Turkey.

Additionally, Akçansa reinforced its commitment to a sustainable future with meaningful achievements by winning awards in all three categories—environmental, economic, and social—under the “Investment in the Future – Private Sector 2024” awards organized by Turkey IMSAD.

A joint venture of Sabancı Holding and Heidelberg Materials, Akçansa focuses on creating a wide and positive impact—from reducing environmental impact to generating social value—guided by its principle of “responsible operations for the future.” As part of its Volunteering Journey initiative, the company has been offering robotics and coding training to second-grade primary school students since 2023 through its STEM Workshop project, developed in collaboration with Bricks4Kidz® Turkey. This project earned Akçansa the first prize in the Social Responsibility category at the Golden Plumb International Building Catalog Awards.

Akçansa also achieved notable success by winning awards in all categories of the Turkey IMSAD “Investment in the Future – Private Sector 2024” awards, which recognize exemplary sustainability practices. The awards and corresponding projects are as follows:

• Environmental Category: First Prize for the Marmara Islands Artificial Reef Project
• Economic Category: Second Prize for the Clay4Climate Project
• Social Category: Third Prize for the STEM Workshop Project
