Akçansa’s First Half Sales Reached TRY 9.9 Billion

Akçansa has announced its financial results for the first six months of 2025. During this period, the company’s sales amounted to TRY 9.9 billion.

A joint venture of Sabancı Holding and Heidelberg Materials, Akçansa disclosed its financial results for the first half of 2025. Accordingly, the company recorded sales of TRY 9.9 billion in the first six months of the year, while EBITDA reached TRY 905.6 million.

Commenting on the results, Akçansa General Manager Vecih Yılmaz stated:

“In the first half of 2025, challenging market conditions driven by shrinking demand were influential. While the second quarter showed a more positive trend compared to the first three months, exports played a significant role in this upward momentum. Alongside our efficient operational network that enables us to move dynamically between domestic sales and exports, we experienced a balanced period thanks to our disciplined cost and financial management approach. Of course, the first half of the year was also marked by inflation-driven cost pressures in addition to the contraction in domestic demand. The increase in our total sales volume, particularly supported by exports, along with the normalization of energy costs and improved operational efficiency, contributed positively to our financial performance. During this period, we maintained our strong balance sheet structure. We continue to contribute to our country’s sustainable development and create value for all our stakeholders.”

Yılmaz also emphasized the company’s significant efforts in operational efficiency and sustainability during the first half of the year:

“To enhance the efficiency of our operations at the Çanakkale port, we have initiated efforts to replace one of our 10,000 tons/day capacity loaders with a new loader capable of loading 15,000 tons/day of cement and clinker. With our Ladik Cement Plant receiving the CSC Gold Level Certificate, we have become the first and only building materials producer in Turkey whose all cement plants hold this title. Additionally, by publishing Turkey’s first TSRS-compliant accessible integrated annual report, we have demonstrated our commitment to supporting an inclusive and sustainable future.”

Highlighting the company’s value-creating initiatives in social and environmental areas, Yılmaz added:

“We are proud that our initiatives such as ‘My Voluntary Journey’ in the social domain and the Marmara Islands Artificial Reef Project in the field of biodiversity have received awards from prestigious platforms like the Golden Plumb International Building Catalog Awards and the Turkey IMSAD Investment in the Future Awards. We will continue to strengthen our journey toward a sustainable future.”
