Akçansa Reports 4.3 Billion TL in First Quarter Sales

Akçansa has announced its financial results for the first quarter of 2025. The company reported sales of 4.3 billion TL for the period.

A joint venture of Sabancı Holding and Heidelberg Materials, Akçansa posted its consolidated financial results for the first three months of 2025. According to the results, the company achieved 4.3 billion TL in sales and an EBITDA of 186.3 million TL in the first quarter.

“Our journey towards a sustainable future continues”

Commenting on the results, Akçansa General Manager Vecih Yılmaz said: “With our integrated production system, efficient operational network, and focus on business optimization, we continue to work towards a sustainable future for our country. Despite adverse weather conditions and a stagnant market environment that led to a decline in cement and ready-mixed concrete volumes, we partially offset this decline through decreased energy costs and a disciplined financial management approach. Although inflation-driven cost pressures posed challenges, operational efficiencies such as effective asset management and a reduction in discount expenses supported Akçansa’s overall financial performance and contributed to maintaining our strong balance sheet. We expect a gradual normalization of these factors in the upcoming period.”

Highlighting the company’s vision to become Turkey’s most stakeholder-valued sustainable building materials company, Yılmaz added: “We maintained our A- (leadership) score in the 2024 Climate Change Program of the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), in which we have voluntarily participated since 2011. In addition, both our Büyükçekmece Plant and our Gebze Ready-Mixed Concrete Plant renewed their Responsible Use of Resources Certificates at the gold level, once again demonstrating our commitment to using resources efficiently and minimizing environmental impact. We were also proud to receive a significant award in the field of gender equality during this period. With our GençİZ Long-Term Women’s Internship Program, we were honored with the ‘International Women-Friendly Brands 2025 Awareness Award’ in the category of ‘Women’s Employment and Equal Opportunity at Work.’ Our journey towards a sustainable future will continue”.
