Akçansa, the leader of Turkish cement industry, renewed Gökçebayır Elementary School located in Ezine undertaking all costs related to maintenance and repair, garden reorganization and in-classroom education materials.

The students of Gökçebayır Elementary School that Akçansa conducted the maintenance and repair of, as a socially responsible corporate citizen continuing to support the education and environment, started 2009 – 2011 Education Year happily.

In his speech in the ceremony held with the participation of Çanakkale City Administrator of National Education Vefa Bardakçı, Ezine District Administrator of National Education Ömer Ceylan, and Pınarbaşı Elementary School teachers and students,Akçansa Çanakkale Factory Manager Alican Karlıdağ said, “As Akçansa, we act with the awareness of our social responsibility to the society we live in all regions we are active in. We are especially proud of our support to the education field that our country needs the most. We believe that we contribute to bringing up a well-raised, well-educated generation looking into the future with trust, thanks to our valued educators.”
Stating that they installed computers to every classroom, Karlıdağ said, “We will continue to contribute to the schools and education.”

Reorganization of surrounding of the school was realized with works carried out in Gökçebayır Elementary School by Akçansa. The school’s classrooms, desks, teacher’s room and nursery class were renewed in time for the education year with the work carried out.

Provincial Director of National Education Vefa Bardakçı thanked Akçansa for its contributions and cut the opening ribbon with the factory authorities.
