Akçansa General Manager Hakan Gürdal stated that green buildings which are certified by bringing standards gained popularity as people are more conscious in issues such as global warming, environmental pollution and drought. Gürdal said ‘’In the recent years, there is an increasing trend towards environment friendly, ecologic buildings which reduce energy consumption. As Akçansa, we are hopeful about this trend with regard to the future of our world. We produce building sustainable materials that serve to this purpose. With Betonik Ideas Project Competition, we wanted to raise awareness on green buildings and enable the young to develop substantial projects with this regard this year.
