Akçansa has achieved a significant milestone in the 2023 Climate Change Program of the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), the world’s leading environmental reporting platform.

The company, which has voluntarily participated in the platform since 2011, transparently shares its environmental performance with all stakeholders. In the 2023 Climate Change Program, Akçansa raised its score from B to A- (leadership level), becoming the only Turkish cement company to receive a leadership score. Akçansa also maintained its B-level score in the CDP Water Security Program.

Akçansa continues its successful efforts under the ‘responsible work for the future’ principle, focusing on creating wide-ranging positive impacts, from reducing environmental impact to generating social benefits.

As a joint venture of Sabancı Holding and Heidelberg Materials, Akçansa has voluntarily participated in CDP since 2011. With the achievement of raising its score to A- in the 2023 Climate Change Program, Akçansa has become the only cement company in Türkiye to earn a leadership score.

Additionally, Akçansa maintained its B-level score in the platform’s Water Security Program.
