Customer relations
Customer satisfaction activities carried out for upholding
customer satisfaction at maximum level have all been documented.
With the intention of fulfilling customer requests, customer
calls are carried out and technical support is provided.
To solve customer claims and to provide a short response
time is the basic principle of customer relations.
Interdepartmental Relations
With the intention of making quality control processes
effectual and guidance of the production process properly
within the shortest possible period, quality control
results and physical and chemical data have been made
accessible to all the related personnel and departments
openly in the computer network. Thus production and the
related processes are guided correctly.
Training
The objective of training is upholding all employees performance
at highest level. Training programs are therefore implemented
within a documented schedule. All employees have been
given training on; analysis methods, test tools and equipment,
computer usage, quality and environmental management
systems, occupational health and safety, cement production
technologies, emergency action plan. Continuous training
means are provided for executive personnel on new technologies
and executive development so as to increase their performance
and to provide their personal development.
Verification tests
All test methods are crosschecked with the analysis results
of tests conducted at laboratories in Turkey and abroad,
on the samples sent from Büyükçekmece Plant. Analysis
methods of the quality control processes are additionally
verified by internationally accredited samples. Reliability
of quality control data is fundamental. The verification
of the Plant laboratories by other laboratories are realized
by participating in various verification activities (CCRL,
TÇMB, HTC, AFNOR, BSI, etc.)
Calibration
All test equipments and apparatus are periodically calibrated
by internationally accredited calibration institutions,
within a documented calibration plan.
Quality Control - Çanakkale
Plant
There are 7 laboratories operating under the Quality Control
Management of Çanakkale Plant, namely Concrete Lab., Chemistry Lab., ASTM Lab.,
X-Ray Lab., Cenrtal Physics Lab., Shoreline Physics Lab. and Fuel Lab. These
laboratories collect specimen from 22 points of the cement process between
the quarries until Cement Sales. These specimens are held subject to various
tests in the laboratories compliant with the related TS-EN and ASTM standards.
Production is guided by proper inspections made at each production point and
production quality is thus improved. Quality Assurance System has been implemented
in the Çanakkale Plant since 1989. This BS EN ISO 9002 Quality Assurance System
Certificate that was received from the British Standards Institute (BSI) and
the TS EN ISO 9002 Quality Assurance System Certificate received from TSE in
1992 have been upgraded and in effect since 2002 as EN ISO 9001-2000 and TS
EN ISO 9001-2000 respectively. All products produced in EN ISO 9001-2000 hold
Product Conformity Certificates.
