Customer relations
Customer satisfaction works
carried out for maintaining customer satisfaction at maximum
level have all been documented.
With the intention of fulfilling customer requests, customer
calls are carried out and technical support is provided.
It is essential that time for solving customer claims
and response periods are short.
Interdepartmental relations
With the intention of making quality control processes effectual
and guidance of the production process properly within
the shortest possible period, Quality Control results and
physical and chemical data have been made accessible to
all the related personnel and departments openly in the
network environment.
Training
The objective of training is upholding all employees performance
at highest level. Training programs are therefore implemented
within a documented schedule. All employees have been given
training on; analysis methods, test tools and equipment,
computer usage, quality and environmental management systems,
occupational health and safety, cement production technologies,
emergency action plan. Continuous training means are provided
for executive personnel on new technologies and executive
development so as to increase their performance and to
provide their personal development.
Verification tests
All test methods are crosschecked with the analysis results
of tests conducted at laboratories in Turkey and abroad,
on the samples sent from Büyükçekmece Plant. Analysis methods
of the quality control processes are additionally verified
by internationally accredited samples. Reliability of quality
control data is fundamental.
Calibration
All test tools and equipment are periodically calibrated
by internationally accredited calibration institutions,
within a documented calibration plan.
Quality Control - Büyükçekmece
Plant
There are 7 laboratories operating under the Quality Control
Management of Büyükçekmece Plant, namely Raw Material Lab., Chemistry Lab.,
Coal Lab., Mortar Lab. Specimen preparation (process-physics) and XRF Analysis
Lab. These laboratories collect specimen from 34 different points of the cement
production process; starting from the quarries, up to Cement Sales department
and carry out experiments and tests in accordance with the related TS-EN standards.
Thus chemical processes are guided and production quality is monitored by inspections
conducted at all these specimen collection points.
The TS ISO 9002 Quality Certificate received in 1995 has been updated to TS
EN ISO 9001-2000 and is yet in effect at Büyükçekmece Plant.
Büyükçekmece Plant additionally holds a Laboratory Qualification Certificate
and Product Qualification Certificates for Portland Cement; Portland Composite
Cement; Composite Cement; Sulphate Resistant Cement; Slag Cement; Puzzolanic
Cement and Additive Cement.
