Akçansa’s export figure for the first half of the year is US$ 62.6 million
Akçansa, the leader construction materials company of Turkey, announced the financial results for the first half of 2019. Accordingly, company’s sales revenue during the first half of the year has increased to 890 million TL, up by 5% compared to previous year.
Started exporting from Ambarlı Port with the brand AkçansaPort, Akçansa has increased its export by 191% in 2019 on a yearly basis.
The company's total turnover for the first half of the year has reached to 890 million TL, up by 5% compared to the previous year, according to the consolidated income statement issued as of June 30, 2019, as well as the financial results of the period announced by Akçansa, the leader construction materials company of Turkey. Share of export revenues in total sales revenues has increased to 38%, while it was 14% last year.
In the evaluation he made on the results, Akçansa General Manager Umut Zenar said, “1915 Çanakkale Bridge is one of our most important agenda items this year. For this mega project, which we are proud to take place as a strategic business partner, our R&D teams have specially developed the product “1803 Çimento” as a result of their effective efforts.”
Zenar stated that they started exporting from the Ambarlı Port this year and said, “Despite the shrinkage around 40-45% in the sector during the first half of 2019; we, at Akçansa, have turned ourselves towards export and increased our turnover by 5%. With our logistics advantage and effective port management, we are aiming to double our export by the end of the year with our logistics. The US market has been one of our key export markets with the special products we sold during the first half of 2019. With the AkçansaPort brand, we have increase our port sales revenues over 45% with our quality and customer oriented service understanding in our Ambarlı Port.”
